Designation: Contract & Legal Manager | CEO Cell
Position Overview:
The Legal Manager will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support to
the CEO’s office, ensuring that all business operations comply with relevant laws and
regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in arbitration, contract
management, and corporate law, and will be responsible for managing legal risks,
negotiating contracts, and ensuring legal compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory:
o Provide strategic legal advice to the CEO and senior management on various business
matters.
o Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Arbitration and Dispute Resolution:
o Manage and oversee arbitration proceedings and other forms of dispute resolution.
o Work with external legal counsel to develop strategies for favorable outcomes in disputes.
Contract Management:
o Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
o Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
Corporate Law:
o Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate laws.
o Assist in the preparation of legal documentation for board meetings and shareholder
meetings.
Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and transactions.
o Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal risks.
Stakeholder Engagement:
o Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, legal advisors, and
business partners.
o Represent the company in legal and regulatory matters.
Travel:
o Be open to frequent travel as required to meet business needs and represent the
company in various jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is required.
Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal practice, with a strong focus on arbitration,
contract management, and corporate law.
o Experience working in the iron and steel industry or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of Indian and international corporate laws and regulations.
o Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work independently and make sound legal decisions.
o Highly presentable with the ability to interact with high-level stakeholders.
