The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) is offering a paid internship program exclusively for women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers from non-Tier I cities and rural India. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the ministry’s policies, programs, and initiatives aimed at empowering women and children in India.
About the Internship
The internship program is designed to provide:
- Hands-on Experience: Interns will work on pilot projects and micro-studies related to the Ministry’s ongoing activities.
- Policy Exposure: Gain insights into policymaking and program implementation for women and children.
- Skill Development: Learn about policy analysis and advocacy to help raise awareness on issues affecting women and children.

📅 Duration: 1 Month
💰 Stipend: ₹20,000 per month
🚉 Travel Reimbursement: AC bus/3-Tier AC train fare for joining and returning after completion of the program.
🏠 Accommodation: Hostel facility with basic amenities on a triple-sharing basis (mattress not included).
Eligibility Criteria
This program is open to:
- 1.Women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers from non-Tier I cities and rural India.
- 2.Candidates must be associated with a university, academic institution, or non-academic institution.
- 3.Willingness to engage with and contribute to the Ministry’s programs and policy analysis.

- Applications can be submitted between the 1st and 10th of the month, two months before the start of the internship (e.g., 1st-10th March for May-June internships).
