About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Legal Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly under an experienced advocate and activist, focusing on a wide range of legal issues, including education, property, criminal cases, and legislative activities such as RTI, RTE, and the Juvenile Justice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting legal documents and contracts
- Conducting thorough legal research
- Visiting courts and coordinating with government officials as needed
- Meeting and interviewing clients to gather relevant information
- Filing RTI applications and handling appeals
- Coordinating with media outlets for legal awareness
- Managing social media platforms with legal updates and news
- Handling emails and correspondence
- Managing day-to-day office operations
