What makes this role meaty?

As a legal executive, you will be responsible for handling legal documentation, agreement drafting and review, intellectual property (IP) management, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.

Documentation and Contracts:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, MoUs, service contracts, and other commercial contracts.
  • Assist in the execution, stamping, and record-keeping of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain a repository of legal documents, ensuring version control and accessibility.
  • Support internal stakeholders with contract-related queries and documentation.

Intellectual Property (IP) Management:

  • Assist in the registration, renewal, and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  • Conduct preliminary IP searches and coordinate with external counsels for filings and oppositions.
  • Monitor and track deadlines for IP renewals and filings.
  • Identify potential IP risks and suggest mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure contracts and documentation align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support in conducting legal due diligence on agreements and business transactions.
  • Assist in responding to legal notices related to documentation and IP matters.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Liaise with internal teams, external counsels, and regulatory authorities for documentation and IP-related matters.
  • Work closely with the business and marketing teams to ensure IP protection strategies are implemented effectively.

We hope you have..

  • A LL.B. from a recognized university.
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in legal documentation and intellectual property matters.
  • A strong understanding of contract law, IP laws, and general corporate legal principles.
  • Experience with IP filings, trademark searches, and enforcement strategies.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
