Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Agreements and Documentation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to content acquisition, licensing, syndication, and distribution.
- Ensure agreements comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a database of contracts and proactively monitor key dates (renewals, expirations, etc.).
- Content Rights Management:
- Handle legal aspects of acquiring and safeguarding intellectual property rights (IPR).
- Ensure proper legal documentation for content rights and resolve disputes related to content rights if necessary.
- Coordination with External Legal Teams:
- Liaise with legal teams of partner companies for negotiations, conflict resolutions, and other legal matters.
- Coordinate with external counsels for case preparation, filings, and hearings.
- Representation and Advocacy:
- Represent the company in anyproceedings, arbitrations, or mediations.
- Attend legal meetings with partners, producers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and finalize agreements.
