Job Type: Full-Time
Work Mode: Fully Remote
Client Exposure: U.S.-Based Clients
Working Hours: U.S. Time-Zone Overlap Required
Experience: Freshers and experienced candidates may apply
About the Role
We are looking for a Remote Legal Associate to work directly with U.S.-based clients and support day-to-day legal work including legal research, legal drafting, case preparation, document review, and client communication.
This is a practical, hands-on role for a law graduate or final-year law student who is confident with legal research and drafting and is comfortable working in a technology-driven legal environment.
AI tools are an integral part of the day-to-day workflow. The ideal candidate should already be comfortable using AI tools to assist with legal research, drafting, summarisation, document analysis, and improving work efficiency. This is not a role for someone who is just beginning to learn how AI can be used in legal practice.
The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong legal fundamentals with technology, attention to detail, professional communication, and independent working skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using online legal databases, search engines, government websites, and other reliable legal resources.
- Assist with research relating to U.S. legal matters and prepare concise research notes and summaries.
- Draft, review, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, notices, agreements, case-related documents, and other legal content.
- Support attorneys and clients with case preparation and day-to-day legal tasks.
- Review legal documents and identify relevant facts, issues, risks, inconsistencies, and missing information.
- Use AI tools responsibly to support legal research, drafting, document review, summarisation, and workflow efficiency.
- Verify AI-generated information through independent legal research and ensure that final work is accurate and legally sound.
- Communicate directly and professionally with U.S.-based clients when required.
- Prepare clear emails, research summaries, case notes, and other professional communications.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle client and case information responsibly.
- Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Collaborate remotely with attorneys and other members of the legal team using online communication and document-management tools.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is legally sound, detail-oriented, disciplined, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- LLB / Law Degree – Completed or currently in the final year.
- Strong legal research skills with the ability to find, analyse, and apply relevant legal information.
- Strong legal drafting and writing skills, with excellent attention to grammar, structure, and clarity.
- Comfortable using AI tools for legal research, drafting, document review, summarisation, and related legal workflows.
- Ability to critically evaluate and verify AI-generated outputs rather than relying on them without independent legal review.
- Confident communication and client-handling skills, particularly in written English.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Google Docs, Google Search, and other online research tools.
- Ability to work with U.S.-based clients and accommodate the required U.S. time-zone overlap.
- Own laptop/computer and a stable, reliable internet connection.
- Ability to work full-time and manage deadlines in a remote working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience is not mandatory, but the following will be an advantage:
- Paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Law firm or legal support experience
- Experience working with international/U.S. clients
- Experience in legal research or case support
- Experience with legal drafting and document review
- Familiarity with legal technology and AI-powered legal tools
- Exposure to U.S. laws, legal procedures, or legal documentation
What Matters Most
We are not simply looking for someone with a law degree.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
Accuracy + Legal Research + Drafting + AI Skills + Communication + Accountability
You should be able to take an assignment, understand what is required, conduct appropriate research, use available technology effectively, and deliver clear, accurate, and professionally written work within the deadline.
We value candidates who are self-driven and willing to take ownership of their work, particularly because this is a fully remote position.
AI & Technology in the Role
Technology and AI are an important part of our legal workflow.
You should be comfortable using AI tools to:
- Accelerate legal research
- Generate and refine initial drafts
- Summarise lengthy legal documents
- Analyse documents and identify relevant issues
- Organise information and case materials
- Improve efficiency and productivity
However, AI does not replace legal judgment. Candidates must be capable of independently checking sources, identifying inaccuracies, applying legal reasoning, and ensuring that the final output meets professional standards.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote, full-time position involving collaboration with U.S.-based clients and legal professionals.
Because of the nature of the role, candidates must be able to maintain consistent working hours with the required U.S. time-zone overlap and have a reliable internet connection and suitable work setup.
Strong written communication, professionalism, responsiveness, and time management are essential.

This opportunity is suitable for:
