Company: Resollect
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
About the job
About Us
Resollect is a Bangalore-based startup that’s fixing how debt recovery works in India. The industry has been stuck with clunky, manual processes for far too long — we’re changing that with smart automation, clean design, and AI that actually does something useful. We’re a small team with deep domain expertise, building what we believe will become India’s most intelligent collections management platform.
The Role
We need someone to own legal operations at Resollect. We work with a network of empaneled lawyers across India who handle filings under Section 138 NI Act, SARFAESI, and Section 9 Arbitration. Your job is to make sure that entire machine runs — onboarding lawyers, making sure filings happen on time, catching things before they slip, and giving the founding team a clear picture of where things stand.
You’re the person who makes sure a growing network of external lawyers delivers consistently across hundreds of matters and multiple jurisdictions.
What You’ll Do
- Onboard and manage empaneled lawyers across states and jurisdictions
- Track and ensure timely filings under Section 138 NI Act, SARFAESI, and Section 9 Arbitration
- Follow up with lawyers on case progress, court dates, document submissions, and next steps
- Flag delays, escalate issues, and keep matters from going stale
- Maintain clean records — case status, filing milestones, lawyer performance, turnaround times
- Build and improve SOPs for managing legal workflows at scale
- Coordinate with internal teams on document preparation and data handoffs
- Report to the founding team on portfolio health and operational bottlenecks
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of debt recovery proceedings — Section 138, SARFAESI, or arbitration filings. You don’t need to have argued these, but you should know how they work end to end.
- Extremely organized. You’ll be tracking hundreds of matters across multiple lawyers and states — nothing should fall through.
- Strong communicator who can hold external lawyers accountable without burning relationships
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, or case management tools to stay on top of things
- Proactive. If a lawyer hasn’t filed something on time, you should notice before anyone tells you.
- Good judgment on when to follow up, when to escalate, and when something needs a different approach
A law degree (LLB/BL) is preferred but not mandatory. What matters is that you understand recovery proceedings well enough to manage a panel of lawyers effectively.
Bonus Points
- You’ve worked in legal ops, collections, or recovery at a bank, NBFC, or ARC
- Familiar with eCourts, DRT filings, or SARFAESI notice workflows
- Experience managing external counsel or vendor networks
- Exposure to legal tech or case management platforms
Why This Might Be Worth Your Time
- You’ll own an entire operational function, not just push paper
- Direct access to founders — your input shapes how we build our legal workflows
- You’ll see how technology is changing an industry that’s barely been touched by it
- If you’re good at this, the role scales as the portfolio scales
If you’re the kind of person who gets satisfaction from making sure a hundred things happen on time and nothing gets missed — we’d like to meet you.
