Where do you come into the picture?
Own the Legal Charter for branch X and helps to company with legal matters, assisting in resolving disputes among internal and external stakeholders and handling corporate disputes
What would a day in your life @ branch X look like?
1. Drafting, vetting, negotiating and finalizing various vendor agreements and policies of the Bank.
2. Deal with all matters of delinquent accounts, such as drafting and issuance of demand and possession notices, overseeing and handling Bank’s recovery and collection activities.
3. Collating and filing documents for legal action against defaulting customers. Preparing and maintaining filing-related data
4. Drafting and filing of Police Complaints and FIRs in Executive offices and Police stations.
6. Handling litigation matters of the Bank mainly under SARFAESI, Negotiable Instruments Act, Payment and Settlement Systems Act, etc., along with all other civil and criminal matters of the Bank while representing the Bank before Court of Law.
7. Coordinating and managing litigation matters of the Bank across the state by engaging, empanelling and assisting Advocates and Solicitors for the Bank, in various civil and criminal courts and DRT.
8. Handling all Arbitration matters of the Bank especially relating to CDM and deposits in bank.
9. Issuing legal notices to Master Distributors, Distributors, and Retailer in case of fraudulent activities.
Desirables:
1. Legal practitioner enrolled with the Bar Council of India with 2 years of experience in civil and criminal litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution
2. hands-on experience in conveyance, due diligence, drafting and reviewing title reports and legal opinion in matters relating to finance and disputes among stakeholders
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in handling corporate disputes, preferably from the fintech industry. However, any young and enthusiastic individual with a hunger to learn is welcome.
What expertise & experiences would you need to have to play this kind of role?
