Role Overview
reAlpha is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate to support the legal and compliance needs of their Indian subsidiary (reAlpha Techcorp Private Limited) while also assisting the U.S.-based legal team.
This role, which will report to the U.S. based Head of Legal, will focus on Indian corporate legal matters, statutory compliance, and cross-border legal support. This is an entry-level role well suited for a recent law graduate or early-career lawyer seeking exposure to in-house corporate legal work in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Legal Support
- Draft and review standard legal documents such as NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts under supervision
- Assist with routine corporate legal matters for the Indian subsidiary
- Support the preparation and maintenance of corporate records, resolutions, and statutory documentation
Regulatory & Compliance Assistance
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary and external consultants to support statutory filings and compliance requirements under Indian law
- Assist in maintaining compliance calendars, trackers, and statutory registers
- Conduct basic legal research on Indian regulatory requirements and flag issues to senior legal team members
Support to U.S. Legal Team
- Provide administrative and legal support to the U.S. legal team
- Assist with legal research, document review, and internal projects as required
General Legal & Administrative Support
- Organize and manage legal documents and internal databases
- Respond to basic legal queries from internal stakeholders under guidance
Key Qualifications & Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized Indian university
- 0–1 year of experience (including internships or traineeships) at a law firm or an in-house legal team
- Qualified to practice law in India (enrolled with a State Bar Council)
- Basic understanding of Indian corporate and commercial laws
- Interest in working in a multinational or cross-border environment.
