Key Responsibilities:
IPR Repository and Updates:
- Monitor and track deadlines for IP renewals, filings, and other related tasks
- Manage and maintain the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) repository, ensuring that all records are up to date.
- Regulatory Filings:
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual returns, including labour law returns and other related returns ensuring timely and accurate filing.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for filings.
- Assist in drafting responses to legal notices received from regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with legal standards and timelines.
- Clearance Tasks:
- Support the legal team in conducting due diligence and clearing legal and regulatory hurdles for various business operations.
- Keeping track of legal clearance.
- Secretarial Compliance Coordination:
- Collaborate with the company secretary to ensure timely completion of secretarial compliances, including board resolutions, annual general meetings, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in coordinating the legal and compliance aspects of investment rounds, including preparing and reviewing investment agreements, term sheets, and other related documents.
- ODI Compliance and Expansion:
- Support Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) compliance, including preparation and submission of necessary documentation.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing incorporation documents for new entities along with post incorporation compliances.
- Contracts
- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to agreements, SAAS, Software License contracts, distributor/partner agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law.
- 1-3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or corporate governance roles.
- Knowledge of IPR management, regulatory filings, and compliance processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a corporate legal or compliance department.
- Familiarity with secretarial practices and investment-related legal documentation.
- Knowledge of labour laws and regulatory requirements.
