Full job description:
- Find and analyze information related to legal cases.
- Review legal documents and understand new and upcoming changes to legislation and case law.
- Use research findings and information to update supervising attorneys and law firms on various cases.
- Organize schedules to ensure research and documentation processes operate efficiently and on time.
- Travel to law offices, courthouses and libraries to source law information necessary for open cases.
- Decipher laws, rulings and regulations in legal documents.
- Assemble, proofread and amend drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, policies and other legal documents.
- Use library and Internet resources to discover and confirm information relevant to court cases, hearings, depositions, and legal meetings.
- Perform related administrative duties, such as preparing official legal documents and maintaining records.
- Manage and provide responses to incoming subpoenas and discovery requests relating to underwriting files and policy and accounting information.
- Review and analyze pertinent litigation, medical and scientific information.
