Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Guidance:
- Provide legal advice and support to the real estate company on property transactions, including sales, leases, and acquisitions.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal property laws and regulations.
- Draft and review contracts related to real estate transactions, such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, and sale contracts.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Represent the company in legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation related to real estate transactions or property rights.
- Work on resolving issues related to land ownership, zoning disputes, tenant-landlord conflicts, and construction delays.
- Due Diligence:
- Conduct legal due diligence on property acquisitions or investments, ensuring there are no legal encumbrances or title issues.
- Verify that all property transactions are legally sound, including checking titles, deeds, and other legal documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- A law degree (Juris Doctor or LLB) from a recognized law school.
- Admission to the Bar and licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in real estate law or working with real estate firms is often preferred.
- Knowledge of real estate contracts, property laws, land use regulations, and zoning laws.
