OVERVIEW:
A criminal appeals law firm needs a lawyer/advocate with strong writing skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Availability 6:30pm to 9:30pm Indian Standard Time is required Monday through Friday so that you can communicate with US-based lawyers. (6:30pm to 9:30pm Indian Standard Time is 8am to 11am Eastern Time, which is the time zone where most of the lawyers are based).
JOB PARAMETERS:
The attorney will be doing legal research, writing, and document summarizing under the direction of another attorney. The work is 100% remote, with a time-tracker used to keep track of time. With the exception of the 6:30pm-9:30pm time-slot, Monday through Friday, you can work whatever times of day or days of the week you like. The work is 40 hours a week.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong writing skills
- High attention to detail
- (preferred but not required) LL.B. and/or LL.M. degrees
- (preferred but not required) criminal law experience
COMPENSATION:
Compensation is based on experience and ranges from ₹20,00,000 to ₹40,00,000 per year (Indian Rupee). This equates to approximately ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 per hour.
